InterOptic:
the optical transceiver specialist

We support a full line of brand-equivalent, industry-standard IEEE/MSA optical transceivers.

Our supply chain consists of hand-picked, industry-leading component manufacturers. We bring you the identical technology OEMs use at a fraction of the cost.

We even custom-design optical products to fit your applications. For example, we specify extended parameters as needed to meet large-scale networking needs.

What is brand equivalent?

InterOptic’s brand-equivalent optical transceivers are made at the same manufacturing facilities and are tested to the same (or higher) quality standards as the OEM devices they are compatible with so our customers get the peace of mind of knowing they are buying the industry’s highest quality and most reliable devices.

InterOptic brand-equivalent devices are used in such mission-critical applications as:

100% compatible with OEM and white box routers

Guaranteed compatible

Our optical transceivers are compatible with routers from: Arista, Brocade/Ruckus, Cisco, D-Link, Extreme, F5, Intel, Juniper, Meraki, Netgear, Palo Alto and Solar Flare.

White box technology

We support white-box technology with generic coded transceivers, DACs and AOCs (copper and optical cables).

Transmission performance

The operating system (OS) is the lifeblood of your network. That’s why we design all our products to meet or exceed transmission performance. Our devices match the exact operational behavior of OEM devices in the field.

Worry-free installation

We assure you of exact command compatibility during provisioning, testing, operations, troubleshooting and queries. InterOptic transceivers work flawlessly with OEMs’ front panel indicators and external OS.

QSFP28

Available in 100Gb/4x25Gb

The 100GBASE QSFP28 modules allow a wide variety of 100 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity options for data center, enterprise, and service provider applications. InterOptic 100G QSFP28 modules are supported on a comprehensive suite of switches and routers.

QSFP+

Available in 40Gb/4x10Gb

40GBASE QSFP+ is a hot-swappable input/output device that plugs into a 40 Gigabit Ethernet QSFP port, linking the port with the fiber-optic network and is 100% compatible for all OEM networking product lines. A full range of power/range options are available.

SFP+

8G-32G

100% OEM compatible 10Gbps SFP+ transceiver supporting all short, intermediate and extended length ranges. This device is auto-sensing and full duplex working on multi- or single-mode fiber as applicable.

X2

10G

100% OEM compatible X2 transceiver with range of distances supported across multi-mode and single-mode fiber. This device is compatible with all X2 slots supported for a range of OEM manufacturer router and switch platforms.

XFP

10G

100% OEM compatible small form factor XFP transceiver is a hot-swappable optical interface device that plugs into a high speed data port, linking the switch port to the network over multi-mode and single-mode fiber. XFP connects a 10GB Ethernet port to multi-mode optical fiber via a duplex LC type connector.

SFP

1G-4G

100% OEM compatible SFP 1G-4G transceiver supporting all short, intermediate and extended length ranges. This device is auto-sensing and full duplex working on multi- or single-mode fiber as applicable. This device is compatible with major OEM platforms.

10 Questions to Ask about Optical Transceivers

Up to 70% of large data center interconnect budgets go into optical transceivers. With InterOptic, you save 50% or more, compared with OEMs.

InterOptic is the optical transceiver specialist. All of our revenue comes from optical transceivers and related devices. For others, optics are a side line.

Our optical transceivers are built in the same factories that make OEM transceivers, with the same components. Our transceiver performance equals or exceeds OEMs.

Subpar products create problems such as latent bit errors, jitter, optical power mismatches and other anomalies. The result: degraded IT network performance.

InterOptic performs robust 100% testing of 40Gb and 100Gb transceivers. Others test only a few samples from each batch.

Yes. Every InterOptic device is 100% coded before shipment. Since InterOptic devices are pre-coded, you just plug and play.

Some competitors require you to code your own transceivers. Be sure to ask.

100%. Each InterOptic device has a unique serial number, so it’s 100% traceable from manufacturing through network deployment.

No. InterOptic transceivers exactly match the operational behavior of branded OEM transceivers. You’ll see this on front panel indicators and in the operating system (OS). You get exact command compatibility during provisioning, testing, operations, troubleshooting and queries.

InterOptic provides optical transceivers for some of the world’s largest global networks. Ours is the only OEM brand-equivalent product in major US Federal Government networks such as NMCI, NGEN and DISA. These global networks must meet the world’s highest standards for quality, security and performance.

  1. Our US-based technical support is available during business hours, Monday through Friday. Reach us at sales@interoptic.com or +1-866-913-5252.

Some competitors provide technical support from Asia. Ask before you buy.

What Is Traceability?

Traceability is crucial for mission-critical traffic in government and telecom service provider networks. That’s where the InterOptic team started working on optical equipment to support six nines (99.9999%) network availability.

We understand the need for serviceability and supportability of large network designs, since we deployed large optical networks. As networks grow more complex, all components must meet higher serviceability standards. We lead competitors in this area.

We work with suppliers to test individual components. They provide us a testing history throughout their supply and manufacturing processes. We match our final product assembly and coding to each serial number and product we ship to you.

Troubleshooting and Tech Support

Our customer service and support teams follow robust processes for troubleshooting, isolation, hot-swapping, hot-standby and load sharing. Contact us for technical support or to request a return merchandise authorization (RMA) at sales@interoptic.com or +1-866-913-5252.

Large customers often ask us to help them trace problems in their optical networks. Although the root cause is seldom an optical transceiver issue, customers are impressed with our ability to give them an exact history of each and every device.

Customers tap our brand-agnostic expertise to analyze optical network anomalies.
