Charles Parilla has more than 20 years of industry experience in advanced information technology, data communications and optical networking. 

Before founding Advantage Optics, he was a corporate Vice President at Tellabs. He led global marketing, product management, sales support, product development, and customer service teams of more than 250 people for Tellabs Optical Networking Group. 

He was responsible for the initial launch and development a major optical product line that achieved sales of $120 million. 

In earlier roles at Tellabs, he led the initial definition and multi-product development of the Titan 5500 product line for Tellabs. This product line grew to $1.1 billion in annual sales by the year 2000.

Previously, he worked in product development in the Switching Systems Division at Rockwell International. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois.
